I was a newspaper reporter for seven years, then a mother until I found that the two couldn't neatly co-exist. I wanted to keep the kid so I ditched the job. I never gave up the work, though. I've been writing and editing professionally for more than 25 years. I write for newspapers and magazines, websites, corporations, colleges and universities.
My first book, Weekends With Daisy (Gallery, Simon & Schuster), chronicles my year co-parenting a Lab puppy with a convicted felon.
I'm represented by Sorche Fairbank of Fairbank Literary Agency.
